The Culinary Fitness Program
So many people nowadays know they are in need of a lifestyle change. Maybe you are overweight and your clothes don’t fit anymore, or your doctor said you should lose a few pounds. Whatever your reason, you know it’s time to change, but you don’t know where to begin…or maybe you’ve started, but have problems staying educated and motivated. This is where I come in. I am here to evaluate your situation, educate, and motivate you to help you start your new life as a healthy fit individual. It’s never too late!
A “healthy lifestyle” includes physical activity and a proper nutrition program. I am a trained chef and know what it’s like to be around lots of food and not make proper nutritional choices. I don’t always have the discipline to eat right all the time, but if you have a healthy lifestyle, after a while you don’t have to stress about having the occasional slice of pie…but first we have to get you into that healthy lifestyle.
This is where the “Culinary Fitness” program comes in. It is a complete program to take all the guesswork out so you have no more excuses.
* We will have an initial consultation to find out what your goals and interests are and fill out a
questionnaire which will help me see your past and present activities, medical history, interests,
and eating habits.
* Next we go shopping. Time to get educated on what kind of nourishment your body needs to
achieve your goal. We’ll meet at your favorite store, with your family if you wish, and discuss
proper nutrition and what’s good and not-so-good. (about 2 hours)……
* Then, back to your home to do some cooking and rearranging of your cabinets if necessary.
It’s important to know how to prepare healthy food in your own home to help make the
necessary changes, so we’ll do that together. I’ll teach you some healthier cooking methods
and recipes and start you on your way. (about 2-3 hours)…….
* Fitness Assessment which will determine your measurements, BMI (Body Mass Index), any
postural distortions, and your level of cardiovascular efficiency……
* We will then begin a 3-month program including 16 training sessions(about 1 hour each).
* 2 sessions per week for the first 4 weeks & 1 session per week for the last 8 weeks
* I have found this schedule works well in terms of getting you motivated and educated in
the beginning, then establishing a routine……
* You will record your daily activity and nutrition in the book I provide for you. This will help
determine where changes need to be made……
* When weather permits, we will have some activities planned for all my clients to get
involved together such as hiking or biking… something to get the juices flowing and to meet
other people in my program... basically do some networking activities.
* After our initial program is done you will have a 20% discounted rate*on Personal Training sessions to help maintain your new lifestyle… very important to maintain. Skinny/Fit people are generally active in some area whether it’s hiking, cycling, skiing, etc. AND/OR don’t over eat… this is a new life now, you will feel better than ever and will WANT to be more active, you’ll actually crave it.

Exercise Program Design
This is an exercise program that is designed for you at your home or office gym. I will meet you at your home or office gym for up to 2 hours or so and design an exercise program (based on that gym layout, available equipment, your skills, and your capability) that is functional and suits your individual needs. I will provide clear directions and a detailed workout program for you to follow as well as educational reading materials and resources.

Cooking Classes
* Dennis is a classically trained French and Itallian Chef with 20 years of experience in the biz.
He offers a number of classes that can be tailored to suit your needs. Very effective and tons
of fun. Invite the family and friends or just a few… it’s up to you.
* Making Healthier Choices
* Different Cooking Methods, i.e. grilling, sautéing, broiling, etc.
* Regional Cooking, i.e. France, Italy, Mexico, etc.
* Dietary Concerns, i.e. diabetic, low sodium, low carb, etc.
* Prices start at $300 plus cost of ingredients… so what that means is that if there are 8 people
there, it’s only $38 per person (plus ingredients) for a night of culinary education and lots of tasty treats.

If you want to maintain your fitness level/condition or reach certain weight management goals, you’ve just got to prepare your own meals more often. As a chef, I know how to set up a kitchen. Let’s reevaluate your layout. Is it set up for successful weight management?
• I’ll come over and help set you up more effectively and efficiently.

• Offer my suggestions and a folder of nutritional information/guidelines to set you up for success.
